Pauline Wimpy, 85, of McGehee, Arkansas died January 3, 2014 at Lake Village Rehab and Care in Lake Village, Arkansas. Pauline was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on January 17, 1928 to the late Ralph Fleming and Cozie Barrow Bailey. Pauline grew up in Jonesboro and graduated from Jonesboro High School. She worked at McGehee Growers Gin for many years. She loved flowers and working in her flower garden.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin “Bennie” Bailey and sisters, Esther Ann Bailey and Mary Louise Songer. Survivors include her son, D. C. (Thawan “Waun”) Wimpy, Jr. of Pattaya, Thailand; daughters, Patricia (Glenn) Reynolds of Jerome, Arkansas and Susan (Bob) Craig of McGehee, Arkansas; brother, Carl Bailey of Rogers, Arkansas; sisters, Marguerite Kirksey of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Cheryl Brazil of Alexander, Arkansas.
Pauline’s desire was to be cremated and her remains will be interred at a later date at Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick, Arkansas, with a Memorial Service to be held at that time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity.
