Edward Lee Wash, 87, of McGehee, AR passed away Monday, August 29, 2016. Edward was born in McGehee, AR on December 1, 1928 to the late Armon and Lillian Tullos Wash. He served in the United States Army National Guard and the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Edward was a retired conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad. He loved to hunt and cook.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Oscar Wash and his grandson, Eric Lee Wash. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Nell Bishop Wash of McGehee, AR; son, John Edward Wash of Sheridan, AR; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Halloway Wash of McGehee, AR; sisters, Elizabeth Wilhite of Titusville, FL and Helen Ruth Burris (Arlis) of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Angela Raye Wells (Chris) and Sarah Michelle Wash (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Carson Wells, Aiden Johnson, Kaylee Wash, and Jacie Wash.
Visitation will be held at 12:30-1:30pm Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 pm at McGehee Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
