Archie Wayne May, 69, of Arkansas City, AR passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was born December 1, 1947 to the late Erwin and Artie Curry May. Archie was retired from the United States Navy and was a member of the Walter E. Jaynes American Legion Post # 79. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and he also loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He was a member of Watson Assembly of God Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank May and Harold Eubanks; sister, Betty Watson.
Survivors include his wife Jennifer May of Arkansas City, AR; stepson, Jeremy Spurlock of Rohwer, AR; stepdaughter, Amelia (Jason) Horton of Monticello, AR; brother, Travis (Margaret) Eubanks of White City, OR; sisters, Barbara Roberts of Dunedin, FL and Wanda (Larry) Roberts of Rougon, LA; best friend, Paul Richard Peacock of McGehee, AR.; grandchildren, Emma Horton and Kaylee Horton.
Visitation will be 5-7pm Monday, November 27, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Watson Assembly of God Church in Watson, AR with Rev. Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Kelso Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
